Basic characteristics of the house
- Open from April to October (check the actual status on the top of the page, some years we may open already in March).
- Place for 9 pilgrims, in 2 rooms (one room with 4 beds and one with 5 beds).
- Opens all days except of Saturday, at 2:30 pm. The albergue is closed each Saturday.
- Three bathrooms (with 2 showers).
- Donativo. We do not ask any money for your stay, but if you want, you can donate something (to a donation box) to help us to keep running the albergue, opening our house to pilgrims.
- Communal dinner at 7:30pm, tasty & plant based, appropriate for vegetarians, vegans, people with lactose intolerance. If you have gluten intolerance (celiac disease), let us know in advance, so we make a dinner gluten free as well. Thank you.
- Nice communal area inside & outside of the house.
- Only for pilgrims who can identify themselves with a pilgrim passport.
- We accept reservations, but not more than 2 days in advance.
- We accept pilgrims with bicycles and pilgrims with dogs (dogs have to stay outside, but there is enough space & comfort for them, please let us know in advance when you want to arrive with a dog).
- Pilgrims who arrive drunk won’t be allowed to the house, regardless of whether or not they have made a reservation with us.
- We do not accept any backpack transfer service for pilgrims, nor will we organize it for you. If you use such a service, you have to send the backpack to some other place in Colombres and pick it up there, or send it directly to Llanes, and walk 2 stages without a backpack.
- We have a small baby in the house (born in November 2025). That’s something you should count with if you want to stay with us :). You will hear him during the day, but sometimes also during the night.
Facilities in the house
- Washing machine/drying machine. We do a communal wash of clothes for pilgrims staying with us, but latest at 6pm. Pilgrims who arrive after six can wash their clothes only in hands.
- Bed sheets (for one time use) and blankets.
- Fridge.
- We have a kitchen, but we use if for cooking communal dinner. However, if you have something with you that you want us to warm you in the microwave and give you a plate & fork for, we definitely can and will happily do it. Cooking your own food is not allowed though.
- Books (in multiple languages), some board games, a piano.
- Strong WiFi.
Facilities in Colombres
* All facilities below are within 10 minutes of easy walk from the house:
- Several bars and restaurants (open throughout the day, but in low season they close down for siesta).
- A pharmacy.
- Three grocery stores (offering all basic provisions), also close down for the siesta for a few hours each afternoon.
- Public library.
- Outdoors swimming pool (open only in summer).
